Yes...I'll be leaving for Norfolk tmr morn...at a lovely hour of about 5 in the morning. doing an initial adv to contact attack...and then getting gassed by the instructors out in the field...ah...what a way to spend your second last wk of term eh? digging trenches, defending houses...wearing your NBC suit for MOST of the exercise...'bliss'...
for now...trying to chill out and just relax...in prep for a really fast paced ex next wk...I'm expecting to be given Platoon Commander appointments this time...cos haven't gotten those yet.
Enough of army talk...how are you doing? take care ok, one and all? Reason for me saying this could be the fact that I witnessed two platoon mates go down with heat exhaustion coupla days ago on our Log Race...2nd time seen such happening. And the worst thing is...it is really depressing if you see your good friends go down on you. sheesh...
So drink lots (Of water!) and stay 'cool' (literally!).
Esp in the Summer (Though in Singapore...staying cool perpetually would mean strapping an Air-con unit to ur back).
Ok...take care for now...will chat more on my return from EX Marathon's Chase.

just popped into the com room after our Military Knowledge test...score 76%, which looking at the averages...is not too bad. Will be going for a PT swim session in about 20 min time...and then a lesson on NBC (Nuclear-Biological-Chemical) warfare...changing in and out of the hot stuffy suit again! Drill for most of the afternoon...and then NBC to wrap it all off.
Such is a day in the life of Sandhurst...Timings are dictated by the ever-trustworthy timeschedule...and life revolves around marching to 160 paces per minute from the Gym to the Skill-At-Arms wing, to the Faraday Hall (for academics), to the Churchill Hall (Christened affectionately by Cadets Past and Present as the World's largest sleeping bag)...from 8 am till 6 pm usually. Oh...how I wish December comes fast...when those great stone steps at Old College will beckon me willingly to march up them.
Ok...reality check...time now is 10:09...leaves me with about 11 mins to get to the Tea-Rooms where my Company is assembling before heading down for the 10:30 lesson. k, nuff said...you get the picture.
You'll hear from me soon...when I find a lapse in this 'space-time continuum'!! Tata for now!

Hi one and All!
Yes...like some of you have...I decided to start up this blog-cum-personal stuff site just for fun. Will definitely update it with some cool pics and stuff...but for now, with the workload that never ceases to shrink...I've only been able to type this out.
What's been up with me? Well...this morning was supposed to be a whole Private study period...but as usual...Army stuff eats into such time. 'Bulling' of boots (ie Polishing) from 8:30 till 10:30...then revision for out Military Knowledge test all the way till lunch. Now where does 'private study' come in? How about NEVER? hmm...and we've got the deadline of Friday to handin our War studies essays.
Well...at least I had quite a great weekend at my friend's brother's b-day party in Brighton. Got to meet some Asian students whom his Mum teaches at the Uni, and had lots of dancing to do! Imagine...Salsa, Scottish, and Western country dancing all in one nite!! Really fun! Wish you were here. =)
Ok...duty calls AGAIN...will talk later...meanwhile, have to make my way up the hill back to the Redoubt for the next lesson.
Hi All!
Yes...I have decided that instead of sending out massively long emails to a whole list of people, just to tell you what I've been doing for the past wk in Sandhurst...I've come to my senses...'Seen the light' as my Company Sergeant Major (A huge Welsh bloke) would say. Yup...this Blog page will contain whatever further updates I would like you guys (and gals, of course) to hear, see from where (and when?) I am. The other reason was of a more technical nature (ie The computer system here has been installed with this 'highly sensitive' tracking program to prevent people from surfing porn, and other undesirable stuff blah blah...and which ALSO prevents people from selecting a 'whole list of contacts in Yahoo Mail'...I just do NOT see the link there...
This by all means does NOT mean you will hear the last of me in your mailboxes (so suck back that sigh of relief you...YES, YOU!). It just means that I can spend less time trying to get my message heard instead of (on some occasions), having to restart the computer a few times to send out a pathetic email. Don't ask me why it happens...ask the people in charge...ask the administrator...ask the salespeople...or best bet...ask the 'highly sensitive, sophisticated tracking program' installed in all the computers here...which even blocks out normal pictures of websites (which is PARTICULARLY convenient when I'm doing my war studies essay and have to see a MAP on screen which tends to be 'mysteriously' blocked out). hmmm....
Okok...enough of slagging the computer systems here. Life has to go on...yours, and mine. So I'll leave you with this quote from Hotel California by the Eagles (one of the all time classic chill out tunes)...
'Mirrors on the ceiling, with champagne on ice,
And he said, We are all just prisoners here,
Of our own device...
You can check in anytime you like, but you can never leave...'
